Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support children at every stage of development through purposeful play, strong relationships, and intentional care. EAch classroom provides a safe, nurturing environment where children are supported socially, emotionally, and developmentally as they grow.
At Mama Bears Childcare, our programs are guided by a consistent approach across all age groups. While each classroom is designed to meet children at their current stage of development, our focus remains the same–supporting the whole child through play, relationships, and intentional care.
We believe children learn best through play. Our classrooms offer hands-on, meaningful experiences that support curiosity, creativity, and development at every age.
We intentionally support children as they learn to understand emotions, build relationships, and develop self-regulation skills. Emotional well-being is the foundation for all learning
Children grow at their own page. Our educators build strong relationships and provide consistent, responsive care that respects each child’s unique needs, strengths, and personality.
Our infant program provides a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure, and deeply cared for. We understand that the first year of life is built on trust and connection, and we prioritize strong, responsive relationships with each child.
Infants are cared for according to their individual routines, needs, and developmental stages. Our educators respond attentively to cues, provide comfort and consistency, and create an environment where babies can explore safely at their own pace. Through gentle interactions, meaningful play, and loving care, we support each infant’s early social, emotional, and developmental growth.
In our infant program we focus on:
Ages: Approximately 1 – 2 years
Our toddler program is designed to support children during this exciting stage of rapid growth, independence, and discovery. Toddlers are learning to move confidently, communicate their needs, and explore the world around them—and they need patient, responsive support as they do.
We create a structured yet flexible environment where toddlers feel safe to explore, try new things, and build relationships. Through purposeful play, consistent routines, and nurturing guidance, educators help toddlers develop emerging social-emotional skills, language, and independence while honoring their individual needs and personalities.
In our toddler program we focus on:
Supporting growing independence through safe exploration and choice
Developing language and communication skills
Guiding behavior with empathy, consistency, and understanding
Helping toddlers begin to recognize emotions and practice self-regulation
Providing predictable routines that create security and confidence
Ages: Approximately 3 – 4 years
Our preschool program supports children as they grow in confidence, independence, and social awareness. During these years, children are developing friendships, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of themselves and others. We provide a balanced environment where play, structure, and relationships work together to support each child’s growth.
Learning in our preschool classrooms happens through purposeful play, exploration, and meaningful interactions. Educators guide children with consistency and positive support, helping them develop social-emotional skills, communication, and self-regulation while encouraging curiosity and a love of learning. Our approach focuses on readiness for the next stage—not through pressure or academics, but through confidence, resilience, and connection.
In our preschool program, we focus on:
Purposeful, play-based learning that supports curiosity and problem-solving
Developing social skills, cooperation, and peer relationships
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behavior through guidance and consistency
Building independence, confidence, and responsibility
Preparing children for the next stage through strong social-emotional foundations
Beginning in the fall of 2026, Mama Bears Childcare will participate in Wisconsin’s new School Readiness Program, allowing us to offer 4K on-site in a childcare setting.
This state-funded program gives families the flexibility to choose a familiar, nurturing childcare environment for 4K rather than transitioning to the public school system at a young age. The School Readiness Program is offered at no cost to families, just like traditional school-district 4K, while allowing children to remain in a setting that prioritizes relationships, consistency, and developmentally appropriate care.
By offering 4K on-site, we’re able to support children’s kindergarten readiness through purposeful play, strong social-emotional foundations, and continuity of care—all while providing families with more choice and flexibility during an important stage of their child’s development.
More details will be shared as we get closer to launch.
